The Data Science Applications Lab focuses on Time Series AI, which aims to predict and interpret data that evolve over time. Our primary research focus is Explainable AI-Based Time Series Prediction, with an emphasis on developing reliable and interpretable predictive models that provide not only accurate predictions but also explanations of the underlying factors driving those predictions. To achieve this, we incorporate domain-specific expertise into AI models through Domain Knowledge Representation, leverage Generative AI to address data scarcity and generate future scenarios, and extend predictive and analytical outcomes into Intelligent Decision Support systems and AI agents. In particular, by integrating domain knowledge and time-series data with advanced AI technologies across diverse fields, including Digital Healthcare and Medical AI, Online Marketing, Satellite AI, Finance and Economics, and Robotics, we aim to develop intelligent AI systems that address real-world industrial challenges.

데이터사이언스 응용 연구실은 **시간에 따라 변화하는 데이터를 예측하고 해석하는 시계열 인공지능(Time Series AI)**을 ****연구합니다. 연구실의 중심 주제는 **설명 가능한 인공지능 기반 시계열 예측(Explainable AI-Based Time Series Prediction)**으로, 예측 결과뿐 아니라 그 근거까지 제시하는 신뢰할 수 있는 예측 모델을 개발합니다. 이를 위해 **도메인 지식 표현(Domain Knowledge Representation)**을 통해 산업별 전문 지식을 AI 모델에 반영하고, **생성형 AI(Generative AI)**를 활용하여 데이터 부족 문제를 보완하고 미래 시나리오를 생성하며, 예측과 분석 결과를 지능형 의사결정 지원(Intelligent Decision Support) 시스템 및 AI 에이전트로 확장합니다. 특히 디지털 헬스케어 및 의료 AI, 온라인 마케팅, 인공위성 AI, 금융·경제, 로보틱스 등 다양한 산업 분야의 도메인 지식과 시계열 데이터를 융합하여 실제 산업 문제를 해결하는 지능형 AI 시스템을 연구·개발합니다.
